Keeping Insights Discovery® Alive
We meet so many people who (thankfully) leave our Insights Discovery® events having had a fantastic learning experience, yet they then get sucked back into the manic day-to-day of working life. Sound familiar?
The following links contain helpful resources, guides and activities that you can use within your team to make sure that learning from the Insights Discovery® profile continues long after the event.
RESOURCE: An Overview of the Insights Colour Energies
Whether you’d like a little more information on the four colours, or a reminder of how to ‘read’ the Insights wheel, we’ve got you covered!
RESOURCE: Adapting and Connecting With Others
Insights Discovery is about self-awareness; and then using this self-awareness to more successfully adapt and connect in our interactions with others. This one page guide succinctly summarises some colourful information to be mindful of.
RESOURCE: 10 Practical Tips
This is the place to start for some brilliant ideas of how to begin implementing the learning from your Insights Discovery® profile, both individually and for the team as a whole.
RESOURCE: Create Your Insights Team Wheel
Use the template below to create your very own Insights team wheel, using conscious wheel positions from each profile. Many teams then display their wheel in a prominent position as a great visual reminder of how to adapt and connect more successfully with each other.
TEAM ACTIVITY: Communicating with Impact
A great follow-up activity to any Insights Discovery® event. Ever wondered how you could better tune in for even more effective communication with your team? Or how to tell those around you exactly how you’d prefer them to communicate with you? Well now’s your chance to find out!
TEAM ACTIVITY: Talking About Insights
Lots of teams ask us “How can we keep the focus on Insights once the initial buzz dies down?”…and the answer is often to simply keep talking about it! In this activity, you’ll find 10 talking points to use during your team time; either all at once (although that might take a while), or you could pick out a couple to put on each agenda across a few team meetings.
TEAM ACTIVITY: Your Value to the Team
This is one of our ultimate favourites, because it gives each and every team the opportunity to do something that they seldom do: offer each other positive and constructive feedback! Find out what your team sees as your biggest value…chances are, you’ll be surprised.
TEAM ACTIVITY: Leveraging Strengths & Reflecting on Weaknesses
Once you have reflected on your Insights Discovery® profile, this can be a great activity to use the balance provided from the Strengths and Possible Weaknesses sections. Use it to hone in on how to leverage what each person is great at and develop the things they want to focus on, then commit to action both individually and for the team.
TEAM ACTIVITY: Creating Balanced Communication
It’s important that we use a balanced approach to every communication; from capturing people’s attention, to gaining understanding and heartfelt commitment to action, whether on a one-to-one basis or with large group communication. Use this activity to consider how you and the team can tune into each of the four colour energies in your communication.
